The Tamaskan
Basically from a mix of Nordics dogs, German shepherd and wolfdog, the Tamaskan was created to produce wolflike while maintaining a docile and cooperative temperament. In the early 1980’s, the journey began. Incorporating breeds such as Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky with wolfdogs and other northern breeds from Norway and Finland. In 2004, new bloodline were introduced to enhance its endurance and working ability.
Its name, inspired by an Algonquian dialect, means "mighty wolf." Officially recognized in 2006, the breed is now regulated by the Tamaskan Dog Register (TDR), ensuring rigorous breeding standards and high-quality genetic selection.

An Athletic and Intelligent Wolfdog
Majestic and powerful, the Tamaskan stands out with its sleek build, dense coat, and piercing gaze. Agile and enduring, it excels in obedience, sledding, and search work. Versatile and responsive, it is both a working dog and a loyal companion—provided it receives proper mental and physical stimulation.

Our first female, Anatù
She is very lively, intelligent, and playful. Her Shepherd side allows her to be focused and resourceful in handling tasks and daily life. Her keen senses, posture, and gaze reveal the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog in her and make her very enigmatic due to her quick mind. Her impressive amount of energy is very well channeled during various activities, which makes her very easygoing and engaging in everyday life.
